An 18 year veteran of York University, Narine Bisesar joined the York family as a staff member in 1997, after graduating with a degree in Computer Science. He brings to PRASE an extensive background in IT, process re-design and functional business knowledge. Narine recently completed the Senior Director Internship Program through Human Resources, and is looking forward to leveraging his experience gleaned from roles in the Vice-Provost Students, School of Kinesiology, Sport and Recreation and Office of the Dean, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies and in support of process improvement initiatives through PRASE. Formerly a Client Solutions Manager with York’s Project Management Office (UIT), Narine will use his knowledge to support the development and application of technology to support process re-engineering for the institution.
Sarah Cantrell is the Project Director for the Accountability and Budget Planning work stream. In June 2016, Sarah was appointed Assistant Vice-President, Institutional Planning and Analysis. Sarah has 18 years of experience at York, and in previous roles led the Budget Review Process within the Office of the Vice-President Finance and Administration, served as the Executive Officer of the Atkinson Faculty of Liberal and Professional Studies and Senior Coordinator Academic Planning.
Chalinda joined the PRASE team in Aug 2016 as a Business Analyst. He attained his BA in Accountancy from Heriot-Watt University and Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He is also in the final stages of completing his master's degree from Ashland University, specializing in business analytics and project management. Chalinda brings 5+ years of project management and process improvement experience to the team. He will mainly focus on identifying 'As Is' and 'To Be' states of the project and introducing process re-engineering initiatives to bridge the gap between the identified states.
Suzanne Killick is a graduate of York University, with a BA in Psychology and a Masters in Environmental Studies, with a concentration in Organizational Development. She assumed the role of Director, Learning and Organizational Development York University in October 2007; and the additional role of Project Director, Creating a Better Workplace/HR, PRASE in 2011. Suzanne’s commitment to lifelong learning includes certification in Coaching from the Adler Institute; Certification in Mediation and Conflict Resolution and is a licensed MBTI administrator. She has extensive experience working in both the private and public sectors; health care, financial services, Government services, and technical services.
Alya has been a member of the PRASE team since January 2014. After years of experience in the finance sector, and indulging her passion for people and systems, Alya returned to school to complete her Certificate in Human Resources Management. She joined York in 2012 and moved to PRASE in 2014, which has provided her with an opportunity to support intricate project work, while coordinating the financial and operational needs of the unit. She has also obtained a certificate in Project Management, so that she can continue to execute project work in support of the University.
